Engine seems to make a metal to metal grinding sound while accelerating. When you stop accelerating, the sound goes away. I had the timing chain and head gasket replaced around 10-20k miles ago. Truck just hit 140K miles. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

How many miles ago was the last oil change? Check all of your fluids as well.

All three chains were replaced, oil hasn't been changed in a while, but I don't drive very far to & from work. It's probably been driven 2000 miles since the last change.

Well would you say the oil looks good?

It sounds like it is a timing cassette problem, what brand of cassettes did you have installed?

Yeah if the oil is good. I'd pop off the oil covers and see what you're looking at in there.
