Hi I have a 2001 explorer that somewhat suddenly lost reverse.
The reverse went out a couple of times yesterday but otherwise worked fine.
Today I got the car to back up getting out of the driveway but then nothing. I checked the fluid it looks good proper level and no foul smell. The trany is a junk yard model that I put in last year about this time. the trany probably has about 180-200k on it. all other gears work fine and i do not have a flashing od light. after reading through some other posts on this issue I am thinking the most likely culprit is the reverse servo. I think the 1st gear is working fine
any thoughts would be appreciated.
