i have an 01 explorer sport that will not crank. you turn the key and nothing, no crank, no click. all instruments power up, dash powers up, lights work and dont dim when key is turned to start. if i jump across the starter relay, i can get the car to crank, but it will not start. the check engine light never comes on, and i cannot connect to it with my code reader. it just says cannot communicate . all fuses are good. also the theft light never changes, continues to blink slow even when i hold the key in the start position. no different than when it is sitting there with no key in ignition. can anybody help ?
