The other day someone broke into my explorer and stole the radio and complete dash panel from it, I had a nice dvd stereo in it, but what pisses me of more is them taking the panel as well, this is a 2001 explorer sport, My 4 wheel drive selector switch was mounted on that panel along with the rear window defroster and wiper controls and an extra lighter as well.
I lost my job awhile back , and have no money currently to replace the panel and the switches, I am handy at wiring and and can make a temp panel and get a couple switches, What I need to know is the wiring diagram or better the color codes for selecting the 4 wheel high and 4 wheel low functions.
I am pretty sure that the connector that went to this switch had 4 wires on it , one red one black and I think two white with another striped color anlong the insulation. If this doesnt sound corect let me know I may have the wrong set of wires, just seems this set lines up where the switch was.
If anyone knows what wires need to be connected to each other to get into 4wheel High and 4 wheel low I would greatly apperciate it, With winter arriving I would love to have 4 wheel drive back.
Thanks in advance
Rick
