2001 explorer sport audio

I am just wondering here but is the amp in a 2001 sport with the pioneer 6 cd in dash changer is the amp built into the HU or is it somewhere else, and if so where is it located.

It's in the right rear of the X. Just infront of the subwoofer box (or where the box would be).
