2001 sport after coming to a stop idle slow and then shuts off

Please help. This 2001 explorer sport suddenly idles low when it comes to a stop or slow down to corner and then shuts off. The engine service light doen not come on and there is no code for the problem in the computer.

could certainly be a leak in the intake. check all hoses that connect to the intake tube. If not there then possibly somewhere else
 






Something else that won't show a code is the torque converter, and if it is going out it will do just what you described.
 












locked torque converter?

If you don't have a lean condition due to intake leak, or an idle air control (IAC) valve issue then your torque converter clutch may be staying locked. You might check your brake pedal position switch that notifies the PCM that the brake pedal is depressed.
