2001 Sport Trac engine

I have been looking at 2001 Sport Trac's, some seem to have the Ranger 4.0 SOHC engine and others have the Explorer engine? The intake manifolds are different. Why the difference in the same year?

Both engines are the 4.0L SOHC. It's just that they made a few changes to the intake and other things... Ford always seems to do that over time. The 2nd generations Sport Tracs (2007-2010) also have the 4.0L SOHC engine but the intake also looks different from the 1st generation ones.

Anyways, we call the differences Job 1 and Job 2 Sport tracs. I have a Job 1 Sport Trac. My Sport Trac was assembled in March of 2000.
