2002 Driveline Vibrations

Hi everyone,
I have this unusual vibration on my ford explorer 2002 v8 which seemed to stop after removing the the front 4X4 drive shaft. The vibration seemed like the entire engine and gear box would fall off! This happens around 10 miles per hour speed.

I would appreciate your helpful information on solving the problem problem.

Have you checked the U & CV joints on the driveshaft you removed?

Yes I have. They both look good. Though the vibration was noticed earlier and had to change the transfer case in October and it stopped. I don't know if the TC is bad again.

I’d have your prop shaft spin balanced at a driveline shop. It’s hard to tell if a CV has failed.
