My girlfriend had a little run in with the side of the road with our 2002 Explorer Eddie Baurer.
It ended up putting some scraches on it, but nothing that I couldn't get off. The part that I need to fix is the mirror. So here is my question...
Is it difficult to replace the entire mirror? The part that is cracked is the back surface of the mirror itself. The mirror is power, heated, and has the light for the running boards. Is it possible to just replace the mirror itself and not the molding part that is attached to the door? I want to try and avoid having Ford do it, but if it comes down to that I will find a mirror on my own and have them install it.
Thanks for your help and thoughts!
