Hey y'all, I'm a newb here. Just picked up a 2002 Explorer Sport 4WD 2 door model and I'm hoping it will be a good vehicle for beach driving. I live on the coast of NC, the outer banks. Not planning to romp on dunes or get in mud. Just to fish and camp on the islands here. I've never owned a Explorer.
My concern(s) are transmission and differential maintenance/ service.
I'm going to have it checked out and serviced prior to getting on the beach. I'd hate to tear it up on my first run. I'd greatly appreciate any and all advice. Thanks !
