I've got an '02 Explorer Sport with the Premium Package. Anyone happen to know what the ampere output of the alternator is, and approx. how many amps the car uses(so I know how much is left over to keep batt charged), and also does anyone know the specifics on the stock battery output? Thanks,

Yea, I had seen a similar page for the 2000, which also said 95 amps, however, today I got a response from the local dealership saying it was 130 amps. I'm currently waiting for a second response for them verifying the part number listed on my alternator, and a response from ford.com. Does anyone know the approximate amount of amps used by the car to keep it running, and perhaps the amount used by headlights too? Thanks,

Huh?

"2002 Explorer Sport" ?????

or do you mean Sport Trac?

I thought Ford discontinued the 2-door Explorer starting with 2002 models. I have only ever seen 4-door 2002 Explorers. You mean to tell me Ford is still making the 2-door (sport) model? I'd like to know...

Yup, the new Sports are 2002's. Don't think they changed much though. They can't very well be building "2001" Sports in 2002, can they?

Yep, its a 2002 Sport, not Trac. If you care to see it, http://members.sounddomain.com/blake784 though that mainly focuses on the audio, not the vehicle. But yea, Ford didnt really change anything, its basically the 2001 with a new year and maybe a couple minor mods. Anyone have an idea of how many amps the 2001 Sport used?
