2002 Explorer Sport Wind Shield Wiper Problem

Only one speed works on my windshield wipers and its the fastest one. From time to time though the other speeds (there's like 8 other speeds) work. I'm not a car expert so if anyone can tell me how to fix it and whats wrong that would be awesome! :exp:

Might want to ask on the pre 02 forum, the Sports and Sport Tracs are a ******* child of newer sheetmetal with older running gear............
