My AC cools just fine but only blows on high...also my heater doesn't heat up...nor does my blower blow on the bottom vents...any ideas what could be wrong...don't want to take it to the shop until i have any idea of what it could be because i'm a girl and don't want to pay an arm and a leg for something that my dad or boyfriend can fix

search for "blend door". Lots of good info available

Agree with blend door actuator has failed. Plenty of A/C but no heat. Happened on my 2002 Just wait your fresh/recirc door will be next.

Sounds like you have a bad "blend door actuator". A cheaply made, small plastic gear inside of this actuator breaks off a few teeth and stops rotating the blend door when you switch from cold to hot temp settings. Do you hear a thumping or clunking noise coming from behind the dashboard when you switch from cold to hot with the defroster on? If you do, it's the actuator. Below is a link to a great post and photo's by "BigRondo" on how to replace the blend door actuator. The part/ blend door actuator cost around $80- $90 at a Ford dealership. BTW, this actuator tends to fail while set to the cold side temp setting, thats why you don't notice it till you switch over to the hot side for heat.

As far as your blower not blowing air out all of the vents sounds like a bad "air recirculation door" has fallen off it's hinge points and is laying on top of your blower box just above your blower motor/fan. It is blocking the flow of air through some or most of your vents. This can be accessed through your glove box. Check out the link below to a great post and photo's by "Curtis" on how to remove the "air recirculation door" .
Note, you do not have to remove the blower motor to remove the air recirculation door as per instructions in the link below, just need to remove the 4 screws that hold the air recirculation door box together. Once the air recirc door is out, you'll get great air flow to your vents again, but you'll loose the Max AC function, but you still have AC, just not as frosty cold. Both of these problems are hugely expensive to have fixed at a Ford dealership, so forget that option unless you can afford to take it there. I was quoted $680 for the blend door and I think the air recirc door was around $1100. I had both issues myself, but now repaired.
