2002 P401 Trouble Code

I am looking for advice on this error code. It is on a 2002 Explorer with a V-8. It reads Low EGR Flow. Is this something that can be cleaned or does it require replacement.

Chances are good that it's the sensor that controls egr flow - the DPFE or PFE sensor - and not the valve itself. It can be tested, voltage-wise, to determine functionality.
