2002 ranger 4x4 xlt

i have a 2002 ranger 4x4 xlt that has 2 problems that i think may be related. first off it idles rough & tries to die. put new filter, plugs & wires & no engine codes pop up. 2nd when the electric windows are rolled up all the way & i press both buttons up my volt meter drops & my lights dim. any ideas out there

...You probably need to clean your IAC (Idle air control)...This may help..

...Your second question is a little tougher to answer but I will try...Your window motors are high amperage draws and will show up on your volt meter when the window comes to a stop and you are still holding the button and the window motor is still trying to force it closed...

...You shouldn't get a dim though...You may have an alt/battery going bad or loose cable connections at the battery, alt, or grounds...
