2002 Ford Explorer XLT
Does anybody have any recomendations for a set of rear rotors and rear brake pads for a 2002 Explorer XLT? It is a 4 door and 4wd. I have looked on ebay and online, but havent came across much.

I came across this site...Rotors and Pads They have rear Hawk pads for $63 and rear rotors for $200.

I also came across a set of drilled and slotted front & rear rotors on ebay for $290 shipped. They are made by Brembo. Looks wise they are what I want. Any suggestion would be appreciated...

I've always used Bendix brake pads and stock replacement rotors. In Ohio not to many places carry Bendix so you'll need to call around their a little pricy but a good product and warranty. Check Explorer Express I know they sell slotted rotors.

Also check into rotors and pads by EBC. I bought a complete set two years ago. 34k later, I have almost half of the front pads left. I have one side of one rear caliper which is wearing quicker than the other. I think the caliper is sticking slightly.
The spot faced EBC rotors were $150 a pair, pads about $70 in front, $50 in back.

I am looking to upgrade to Sport Trac front brakes, and 2003 Crown Vic rear brakes.
By the way, the Sport Trac front pads are smaller than the normal 2nd gen. pads, and will swap. Good luck,
DonW
