I'm going to say no. There is a whole unit that sits in the one back panel and you need to run AC and heater lines back to it as well as the electronics. Not worth it.
OOOH. Isn't there vents already there? Thats all the '02+'s got was a vent top and bottom and a selector for for it. No fan. Although I thought they all had this?
I thought they all had it? Our '02 does. It as the full console(which all '02+ come with to my knowledge) with ducting and just blows out the cents. Do you have the power outlet back there?
Any pictures of the rear. I'm kind of interested to see what it looks like.
not that either, its just the basic xls and i want to do some interior work with it and make it a more comfortable ride for passengers. I have the outside looking good with 22's on it, but now that inside is my next thing im working on. It came with no fog lights, but it is 4x4, no powered seats, and no 3rd row. Also, no overhead console
I would look in the yellow pages and track down a junk yard. Larger ones will have a good variety of Explorers. You might be able to pull the stuff you need for the A/C/heater from one of them. As well as the other parts you need.
You'll need a new bumper if you want fogs. They do make a retro-fit kit on ebay that is well worth the money once you have the proper bumper.
