Okay here is one for all the gurus out there. My automatic lights stopped coming on. Well, let me say that the headlights stopped working, but the driving lights and all other lights seem to function properly. Also, when I switch over to manual headlights, they come on. I just noticed it tonight so haven't had any time to troubleshoot further. Also, with the headlights working normally under manual control it isn't super critical. I just love the convenience of the automatic lights.

I'd say either the ambient light sensor is bad, or the headlight switch is bad.

Try a local wrecking yard for a replacement headlight switch. Cheap diagnostic.

Here is the Info & Troubleshooting Steps from my shop manuals:

Let me know if there is anything else you need.

Good luck getting it sorted.

Thanks for the info...

Just an update, shortly after posting this, the lights just started working again. However they have stopped again. It is just odd. The autolights work like they should as far as the parking lights and driving lights, it is just the main headlamps that are not turning on.

[Update]
Got a replacement switch and still the same issues. Very odd in my opinion as if it was the ambient light sensor, then none of the lights would come on. Wonder if it is a relay or something.. oh well continuing to troubleshoot.

Thanks again.
