Bought a 2003 Explorer and didn't get the wallet card. Searched the posts and couldn't find a suggestion other than a $40 trip to the dealer.
Discovered a post re; a 2002 Explorer (on another site) and it worked for my 2003. Thought I'd post here for others benefit.
The 5 digit Code is clearly listed on the security module located behind the passenger side rear trim panel. If you pop the access panel between the rear door and the window (the one with the seat belt coming out of it) the Module is easily seen with a flashlight (the Grey box with all the wires going to it!) The code is printed on the box. It looks a bit like a 5 digit part or model number and wasn't listed as a 'code' so don't be fooled.
You can then use the code to easilt reprogram your keyless entry pad as outlined in the Manual.
I like saving 40 bucks ... I REALLY liked not giving to the dealer !
