2003 Mountaineer rear hatch panel problem.

I have a 2003 Mountaineer with a rear hatch panel problem it flew off on the freeway almost hit another car.
I thought that something had flew and pulled it off, but, after reading some reviews I understand it is a defect.
any help on a recall?

Welcome to the forum. This is the only rear hatch recall there is. Was your plastic panel cracked back there?

I know I put in explorer, but the mounty and X are almost the same.

sucks that wasn't for the 04, because every now and again my left strut on the rear glass just falls off..
