I searched, can't find anything on the subject for 2003....
Liftgate is closed and will not open with handle. I know I can fix this if I can get the lifgate opened to remove the trim.
Can I remove the trim with the door shut....or maybe enough to get my hand in and get it open?

Yesterday I loosened up the trim panel enough to get my hand in and open the tailgate/liftgate. Metal pressure clips surround the trim only around the top and sides of the rear window. The lower portion of the panel is held on with hook that face down. Remove the 2 screws retaining the pull strap and then break the upper portion of the panel loose and then lift up on the entire panel to remove it. The yellow plastic connector to the pull handle was dissconnected. Probably due to the retainer cap not being there. I pushed the yellow connector back into the handle and then screwed a small sheet metal screw into the yellow plastic clip from the opposite side of the handle to prevent the damn thing from comming out again.
