I've got a problem. I have a 2004 Explorer XLT. When I bought the truck, it had the single cd headunit (no subwoofer). I wanted to install Sirus radio, so I bought a CD6 Headunit (out of a 2004 expedition- -4L1T-18C815-AF) from Ebay combined with an aftermarket Visteon Sirus reciever and harness. I made a plug adapter to allow the old plugs to fit up to the new HU. Everything works - except that the HU is meant for a vehicle with a factory sub (no bass from the rear speakers).
I'm assuming there is no way to disable the crossovers for the subwoofers within the unit...so I'm looking for a new HU on ebay. One without the Subwoofer outputs. My question is... Which model number do I need to look for? (either a dual media or a CD6).
