Hi Guys. I'm new here, but I feel like an old hand because I've been searching the forum for about 2 days straight!

I'm trying to get my iPhone/iPod hooked in to the stock headunit, but I can't get a definitive answer on which (if any) AUX-in adapter will work. The HU part # is 1L2F-18C815-LA (the Pioneer CD6 with sub - I guess this is "audiophile"). Has anyone gotten an AUX-in to work with this HU?

I really don't care if the cd changer continues to work... it's amazing how quickly media becomes obsolete! Might as well have an 8-track player!

Thanks oplitic - the PXFD98 does seem to fit the bill. There is still the warning on the ebay link you sent that this is not compatible with the in-dash 6cd changer, but I think that seller is mistaken. The AUX on/off switch is the key element I haven't seen in all the ones I had been looking at previously. This seems to be what the in-dash CD6 can't do - select between the CDs and the aux input.

I guess I'm having second thoughts after taking a look at it and the thought of having a hidden little switch to listen to the iPod... For $100 I could get this item, or pony up $200 for a Blaupunkt with installation kit, bluetooth, front and rear aux in, iPod control, etc...

Easiest way to see if it works with yours is to hit the "CD" button on the top left of the unit. If it says "NO CDDJ," then your unit can use the aux in.

Sorry it took so long to post this...

This will work with the cd changer, even the instructions tell you how to use it when you have a changer stock.

I don't know blaupunkt, never got into there stuff. But I'd check and make sure it's not bluetooth 'ready' or ipod 'ready', etc. With a lot of radios they are 'ready' meaning they are ready for you to buy an interface modual for xm, sirius, ipod, hd radio, cd changer, bluetooth, etc. Alpine, kenwood, pioneer, clarion, and many others do it. A quick look at blaupunkt's site, and it looks like they do it too. In 'Accessories' they sell an ipod and bluetooth interface. So I would check it out before you just jump right in and buy the blaupunkt stuff.
