2004 Explorer 17" rims on a 2007 Mountaineer

Does anyone know if 17" rims from a 2004 Ford Explorer fit on my 2007 Mountaineer? I currently have 18" stock rims but I want too get 17's so I can get the mud tires I want.

Yes, but the rims will be less wide than the 2007's and the offset will be wrong on them for the 4th gen model.

Thanks for the reply! Would the offset difference be a problem? I want to downsize from my factory 18's so I will have more mud terrain tire options and I have someone willing to swap rims with me.

Yes, there is too big of a difference between the two and the much lower offset on the 04s would cause excessive wear and tear on the hub bearings.
