2004 Explorer. Brake switch keeps failing.

I have a 2004 explorer and I have replaced the break light switch 4 times in the last year. The original switch keeps the lights on and the other three will not switch the lights on so I can shift in to gear. I replaced the wires and the female portion like the instructions said and it worked for almost a week and then stopped working again. Any suggestions?

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the stock 2002-2005 section. It's possible that there is a short that is ruining the switch. Do you have trailer wiring?
