2004 Explorer Christmas Present

Hi Everyone, i am Ali from Edmonton, AB.
I Just bought a 2004 Explorer with a non running engine. According to the PO the mechanic told him it was timing. I will be replacing the engine on this unit.
Its an XLT with 4.0 V6 with 250k kms or 150k Miles.
I will be posting pics of the process.

For the engine, I assume the difference between a non-flex fuel and flex fuel will be with the fuel lines and possibly intake. I'm sure the engine itself is the same (short block).

Perfect!
Put in about 5 hours across two days.
I have moved the PS pump, moved the AC compressor.
Cooling system is out.
Oil is drained and Filter removed.

Today is starter, exhaust manifold, electrical and Intake Manifold with fuel disconnect.

more pictures of dis assembly. could not get the exhaust manifold 15mm bolts to budge at all. looks like the torch is coming out.

Removed the exhaust bolts, Intake manifold, starter, TQ/Flex plate bolts and engine/tranny bolts.

Replacement Engine from 08 ranger.

Update:
Engine is in, working fine. no Codes. put new orings and used the spacers from the new engine.

I have put 200 kms on it yet.
