My ABS light would come on sometimes and then of course the 4x4 would flash. When I pulled the codes I got a 1236 and 1235 which are for the rear sensor in the differential. I replaced that and it seems to be good now. The other code I got was 1440. Is that code the reason why my cruise control isnt working? I heard its some type of switch on the brake master cylinder. If that's so can anyone tell me what that part is called so I can look into it? Thanks in advance for the assistance. :D

My cruise would not work while that sensor on the master cylinder was bad.
My abs light would come on sometimes too.

I replaced it, its p/n is 3L3Z9F924AB
description - switch asy
retail - $22.99

just a couple of minutes to replace it, no special tools - the dealer will charge you an hour.

what Curtis said exactly - c1440 been there.

Thanks for the response guys. I'll look into it. Modern technology sux. They put all these sensors on the vehicles nowadays and its just more garbage to break and cost you money along with the headaches. Once again though, thanks for the info.
