After a large snowstorm we had yesterday, our Explorer wouldn't even make a sound. All you here is a click when you turn the key. I don't think its the PATS because the dash light goes out after 3 seconds. It's throwing a code on our OBDII it's P1116 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Out Of Self Test Range. Please help don't want to have it towed.

How's the coolant? Did your block freeze?

If the sensor is bad, perhaps it's keeping it from starting. Don't know.

Cold is a big killer of batteries. Might have the battery checked out.

Hooked up battery charger, still just a click. Called tow truck and Ford said the starter went bad. Strange that it quit so suddenly.
