2004 Ford explorer wrench light

I have a 2004 ford explorer and my wrench light is on. When I come to a stop sign it acts like it wants to cut off, and when im driving it acts like something is wrong with the fuel. What could this wrench light mean?

I'm assuming its an automatic. this sounds like a torque converter issue or possibly a broken vacuum line, or coil/distriputer/spark plug issue

If you have a check engine light (wrench) you're sure to have trouble codes.
Call around, most auto parts stores will read them free. Write down the numbers.
