Hello I Have a 04 ford explorer xlt 4.0 v6,cranked the truck up to drive to work only to find when I put it in gear nothing happened,the shifter moves freely but the gears do not engage,drove it the same day with no problems,3 hrs of sitting and now it wont budge.I checked the shift linkage at steering colum and on th side of the tranny,works fine,waiting to check the fluid since its like pulling teeth to fine a fill adapter to add atf.I checked all related fuses except the relays,the brake switch seems to be ok as the lights work when pressing. Any ideas as to what could be causing this problem?
