Hey guys, I had a question about my Dad's 1990 F-150 tranny. We are trying to sell the truck if anyone is interested), it is a pretty old work truck (plowing), rebuilt tranny severeal years ago. But recently, when it shifts between the first few gears during acceleration, the truck vibrates as if the gears are not engaging right away.
It is actually almost a full second after it shifts to a new gear, as it's applying th epower or something, maybe a torque converter? Or the gears are actually grinding? there is no loud noise, just vibration in the truck because of it. any thoughts?
(We need to get rid of this so we can put our new 2003 F-250 superduty x-cab on the road)
