2004 xlt power windows

All of my power windows stopped working. I have discovered that if the drivers door is at least half way open, I can open and close all of the power windows. When the driver door is closed beyond the half way point, none of the windows will work. I could really use some advice on this.

it sounds like the same thing as the door locks, check for cut or frayed wires running between the drivers door and body, its covered by a rubber boot. others have found cut wires in there.
