2005 Airbag code reset?

is the only way to reset an airbag code to take it to a ford stealership and have them reset it with a special tool. Tried to reset it by disconnecting the battery for 20+ minutes. Maybe theres just something wrong with my module? idk

Disconnecting the battery worked for me but only after repairing the problem.

what code was yours flashing? mine was flashing a 19 intermittently but just in the past week its flashed every start up. Guessing my module's just bad now?

42 ( i think) Front impact sensor failure. Sensor was bad. I am not sure what code 19 is.

I guess I'll fork up the money to have ford diagnose the problem... ughh

Okay so im pretty baffled on this one. Code randomly stopped for about 4 start ups and is back to flashing a 19. Could a clockspring fail on just one circuit? Horn and cruise works still. Any suggestions to make this light go out besides pulling the bulb? haha
