Anyone out there know the backspacing on the 16x7 wheels for a 2005 Ford Escape. I have been searching everywhere and I can't find anything.

:salute:

Yes I tried Escape-Central after I post this question on here. I did get a response back and I love the escape. The best part is I get a lot better fuel mileage with the escape than I did with my 99 X sport.

Is it the V6 or the I4? M/T or A/T? I'm thinking about buying an Escape, but some people claim that the gas mileage with the 3.0L V6 is only about 18mpg.

Thanks.

Bob

My Escape is V6 Automatic Trans and it gets around 22 MPG. I love it but of course there are better options for gas mileage out there. It get more mileage than my Explorer and I am happy with that for now!!

Thanks, PA99.

My Explorer is getting a little old, so I'm thinking about getting an Escape for a daily driver. I'm so usd to the high seating position of the Ex, that I would feel uncomfortable in a small car. Hence, the interest in the Escape. It has traditional SUV seating and ground clearance. Its a little smaller than the Ex, but interestingly, its about the same size as the old 2-door Explorer Sport and a little bigger than the Bronco II. I like the styling on the Escape. It looks like an Explorer Jr.; much better than the other SUV/crossovers on the market! The 4WD system is a bit more practical for on-road use than the part-time system in my old Explorer.

I might consider a hybrid Escape, if the gas prices keep climbing.

Have you put any mods into your Escape?

Bob
