2005 Explorer stalling out after heavy rain

The spark plugs were filled with water, we removed the water and changed the spark plugs. Now no service engine light or codes. Everything is running perfect. I had no idea water can mess up a car like that....

My dads 02 had the same problem when it started running rough when wet.
Figured out that 2 plug holes were full of water.
Popped the coils out, dried them, a bit of silicone and put them back in. been fine since.
