2005 explorer. V6

[Slats 1931]

2005 explorer rough idle and engine skip. I cleaned the maf and changed the filter. Could the fuel filter cause this?

Mine does that as well intermidently when I'm at idle. Some people have said on here there is a software update that you can get from Ford to cure that issue. Mine hasn't been significant enough to spend the money they will charge me to do it.
