My son has a 2005 XLT 4.0L SOHC V6 engine. I would like to buy a snowsport hd plow for his birthday, but vendor indicates the plow will not fit a Ford Ranger with a front crossmember. Can someone tell me if the 2005 XLT 4L V6 comes factory equipped with a front crossmember. Don't want to ask my son as this may alert him to my possible plans. Many thanks!!

I just went and looked at that plow company's website. It says the plow must attach to a front 2" receiver, so the real question is can he get or does he have a front receiver?
Also, is this truck 2WD or 4WD?
