2006 4.0 cold air intake

Hi , I just upgraded the exhaust on the wife's Explorer , but since Iv'e had it I haven't been able to find a cold air intake for it Iv'e had Air Raid systems on everything I own but nope don't make one , any suggestions or has anyone ever found one for 2006 ? Iv'e seen cheap kits on Ebay but really don't like to hack stuff .Thanks

Factory is as cold as it gets. The best CAI is the one you leave on the shelf at the store.

Thanks for your input , Sorry about you Sport Trac Iv' e used CAI on my other vehicles with no problem just more performance and better mileage . everyone has an opinion . I might have asked on the wrong forum .

I as well have put CAI on other vehicles with good results, but the factory intake track for the 4th Gen Explorer is truly the best intake possible. Any aftermarket option I have seen will take in warm air from under the hood or require more bends than factory.

I would settle for a system under the hood however all I can find is the element that goes in the factory can . I have had one on my Lincoln LSC that though it was under the hood it still made a difference but like you said still no cold air .
