I have a 2006 XLT with 88K miles. I have never had a problem until 2 months ago. My car was leaking radiator fluid and overheated. It ended up need ing a new Thermostat and Radiator cap. It was driving fine until 2 days ago. It saw the guage start to rise and fall. It is also making a roaring noise when I accelerate just like last time. Could it be the thermostat again or the cap?? This time I see steam coming from the front of the car...may be the leaking radiator fluid evaporating. I hate to bring it in the shop and pay $65 an hour just for a simple replacement. What else could it be?

Sounds like they misdiagnosed the problem the first time.
