The engine seemed to run hot and the RPM's reved up for a bit, then went back to normal. Shortly the engine coolant light appeared, my wife pulled into a gas station and called me. Since I was 100 miles away I had her call Triple A and have them tow it to my house.
There is plently of coolant in the radiator and no leakage. The motor seems to runs OK. I ran it for 20 minutes and the temperature gauge never went past the middle.
Any thoughts?

Some times I think all this electronic BS was designed my Microsoft. Always remember to try a reboot before you scream HELP! This is essentially what you did.

I would just make sure she keeps her eyes on things the next time she drives it.

I checked all I could in the engine compartment and underneath and wasn't able to find any visible problem.
Thanks for the advice.
I will have her watch the gauges and lights to see if it returns.

I didn't think these had a low coolant light. My 2006 4.0 has been over a gallon low between 3 radiators and a cracked thermostat housing and no light
