2007 EB door keypad issue

I have a 2007 Eddie 4wd v8. It has the keypad entry on the door. Last week it stopped unlocking the doors. Pressing the bottom two buttons still locks the doors. I have searched here and found alot of people had problems with the keypad not working and it was caused by (usually) a broken wire in the door boot. Since mine does still have some functionality to it, could it just be some of the buttons on the keypad or should I just check the boot for a broken wire? Thanks in advance!

I would check for broken/damaged wires before I started throwing parts at it. It doesn't cost anything to check.

I know that this is a very common issue on the 3rd Gens.
