I just purchased a beautiful 07 Eddie Bauer with 96,000 KMs (canada)
This truck is impecable with one issue.... a small leak on the drivers side head gasket.
I have tried all the leak stop stuff and it has worked a little, but it still takes around 10 - 12 ounces of coolant every week.
I can see that it is leaking on the inside of the head as the coolant is sitting on the top of the motor.
just a couple of questions
a) is this a big ticket fix
b) should I have both head gaskets done at the same time
c) is this common with this 6 cylinder engine
I just totaled my 02 XLT with 225,000 KMs on it and did not have any issues with that truck.
any input would be appreciated
