2007 Explorer chassis swap

Is the 2002-2010 explorer chassis/firewall/dash swappable to a 1956 F100, as I've seen done with the 1995-2001 explorer?

afaik thete were many differences from the 2nd to 3rd gen (wider track width, independent rear suspension, among others) so intuition tells me its not possible, but perhaps someone else has more info! and welcome to EF!

thanks for the insight, i looked closer at the track width and you are right the new explorers gain about 2 1/2".

who knows though! where theres a will, theres a way! let us know if you end up finding a way!! (and dunno, maybe someone else has done it!)
