To make a long story short just go to the video link, it explains what I'm currently going through.

I'll start off by saying I've had an electrical problem with my explorer for quite some time now. When I turn the battery on (car off) I'll get the (CHECK CHARGING SYSTEM) code displayed on the instrument cluster, however the code will disappear once I start the vehicle. This has been happening for as long as I can remember I thought I had found the issue years ago when chasing a parasitic draw issue, to witch I discovered a GPS tracking unit under the steering wheel connected to the OBD1.

After deleting this crap from the vehicle. This happened back in 2023, I would go on to not having any major electrical problems
Fast Forward to today, The passenger door sensor switch has been not working throwing the dreaded (DOOR AJAR) code on the cluster despite having the passenger door closed. I have some time now to address the issue and hopefully solve/replace the problem, Until I tried to start the explorer, and then I get clicking and no start. I immediately think the battery is dead. So I then jump start the explorer and leave it running for a bit. By this point I suspect that it could be two things, I have an after market radio (i did not install) that had stopped working around the same time the door sensor switch started to go out, I believe that could be the issue because when i have the vehicle off/battery off, its left illuminated, so I leave the front panel detached. but by this point I just disconnected the entire unit from the power supply. After running the explorer for a little, I proceed to turn the explorer off and then turn it back on, and low and behold, NO passenger door ajar code, i proceed to go around the block to make sure that it doesn't come back on and then once back at my house I believed that the problem was fixed until this happened. 5.0 2nd gen is in your future.

It's only money....

Do you have a code scanner?

Without a good code scanner it is very difficult, to impossible, to troubleshoot problems on a 4th gen.
I'll get back to Y'all with codes. thank you

Update!

I acquired a code reader, but it did not throw any codes. I realized my battery was completely dead and I had left it charging all day, but did not hold a charge. Took it in to AZ and by the grace of God it was still under warranty. Threw the new battery in, ( also got the door sensor that needed to be replaced) and it seems to be running good now. It still however throws the (CHECK CHARGING SYSTEM) code on the dash when I have the vehicle on (engine off). But I monitored Voltage while the vehicle was running (engine on) and its working fine. I had it sit for more than a day to see if it would kill another battery, but it hasn't yet. Thank you all for the support.:salute:
