Anyone have a recommendation on a Mud or All Terrain tire that will fit a stock height 2007 Mountaineer with the factory 18" wheels, the factory tire size is P235/65 R18 but I'm having a hard time finding anything but highway tires in any size close to this. I'm wondering if I should just invest in a set of 17" wheels so I will have more tire options?

Hankook dynapro MT at town fair tire they are 235/85/18

Thanks for the reply, I looked on Hankook's website and the smallest 18" size I see for the Dynapro MT is LT275/65R18(32X11.00R18) wondering if that is going to be too big for stock height?

When your speedometer reads 70 mph with the new tires, your vehicle will actually be traveling at 74.77 mph, which is 6.38% faster than the original tires.

The overall diameter variance of the new tire is 2.06 inches, which is 6.82% different than the original. You should never go beyond 3% of the original tire, otherwise you run the risk of brake failure.

They have smaller sizes then that look at discount tire and or just search hankook dynapro mt and it'll come up with the tire

I got some mastercraft axt's, 265-65R18's. Essentially Cooper at3's. Very happy with them, I would however prefer to have gone with 265-60's or even 255-60's. I get a little rubbing.

Not many options at the stock size for 18" wheels. I would suggest 255-60's.

Thanks for the info, I'm definitely going to look into them

I have the Hankook Dynapro MT in 255/65/18 on 18" Flex wheels. I am really happy with them. Got them almost new (less than 1,000 miles on them) off of Craigslist.
