2008 Eddie Bauer 4.L with a Heating Cooling problem
Explorer has dual temperature controls for the cabin
Heating and cooling works fine out of the drivers side of the cabin, but only blows cold air out of the passenger side.
Replaced thermostat and did a flush and fill, but the reservoir for the coolant doesn't move up or down with temperature variants of the engine.
Small drips of coolant after the car sits and cools off after driving.
Any Ideas out there?

Cold only on passenger is classic and common blend door, do a search and there will be plenty of info. Tracking down the leak - rent a pressure tester and start looking for the dripping.

The coolant leak is most likely the thermostat housing. They’re notorious for cracking in the 4.0L V6. Look on eBay or Amazon for the aluminum replacement. It’s a little more expensive than the OEM plastic one, but you’ll only have to do it once.

Thank you
I'll see if the leak is in the housing...

Checked today if it's the housing, but there are no obvious leaks coming from the thermostat housing, and even though the leak seems to be a tiny one, the cabin heater on the passenger side actually worked all day today. Is it possible that there is a small leak in the radiator? Wouldn't the coolant leak-out if this were the case or would it depend on how high the leak is? The radiator is still full to the top, but the reservoir fluid level remains unchanged...thanks for your help - any further suggestions would be appreciated.

I just got my 2010 with the same motor in it. I didn't have temp fluctuations, but my hose going into the heater core was leaking bad. It was just a clamp, but the antifreeze was dripping out over the top of the transmission

Thanks - I'll double check the hose.
