2010 Explorer v8 power steering rack is leaking and appears to need replacement. It seems there is no new motorcraft replacement parts only remans even from dealer. Mavel has new on Rock Auto but, I'm not sure about that brand, I've seen people post about it. I was hoping someone could point me to a how to guide on replacing the rack on the 2006-2010 years? Also needed opinion on just going the motorcraft remanufacture route or buying a new 3rd party? Doing Brakes too but, I think I'll just be going with Napa fleet rotors/pads. First time poster, long time lurker.

Ive replaced reman rockauto motorcraft with no issues.no leaks and no wheel play.

The rack bushings needs to be purchased separately

How’d it go? Did you find a guide?
Looking online seems to be nothing for this era

Factory workshop manual used as a guide.

1. Take one of the LCA off
2.disconnect the fittings
3. disconnect the steering shaft and tie rods.
4. Two steering rack bolts.
5.replace the rack, the bushings, bleed the system and good to go
