2010 Explorer cold air from dash vents

When using the heat cold air comes out of the upper vents; many times too much cold air. Do other owners have this same problem? Is there a solution?

If by the upper vents you mean the defrost ones that blow at the door windows mine does the same thing. I've never found any way around it besides changing from auto mode to manual floor or vent to stop the defrost vents from being used.
