Hey Y'all... Been a while.

I recently upgraded from my 03 Explorer to a 2010 XLT...
It currently has 68k miles on it.

This is a 2 part post...

Part 1) Went to a drive thru, and had to jam on my brakes rather hard to avoid someone backing into me as I was pulling forward, now I get an intermittent RSC and Brake system warning... Doesn't come on all the time, but when it does it will chime for about 30-40 seconds repeatedly every few minutes.
I checked the rear tuning rings, they seem to be fine, all the sensors seem to be in place. But like I said, its intermittent, sometimes it will come on when I start the vehicle, other times it won't.

Part 2) I was backing out of my driveway 2 days ago, and my engine seemed to 'hiccup'... Got to a bumpy stop sign in my neighborhood, went to accelerate and my engine cut off threw up a whole lot of indicator lights, radio stayed on.. I coasted to the side of the road, started it back up, it started fine, then the same thing happened.
Let it sit for a minute, started it back up no problem, and drove it back to my house.

Is there some sort of electrical issue that I'm not aware of, loose wire? I checked all the wires I could see, and they all seemed to be in decent shape... Is there a an issue that would cause these 2 things? Could they be linked? I'm at a loss.
Please help if you know.

Probally not linked but could be if its a computer problem. You first need to scan for any codes in all the modules. A cheap obd2 scanner will not give you what you need unless its forscan and a elm327 adapter.

So I just scanned for codes and got:
P1000 (I had recently disconnected the battery)
B1342 Which could mean anything from the ABS system to Ignition issues, which would seem to cover both problems... if its a control module failure

But from what I'm reading it could be ABS, Air Bags (causing them to not deploy or deploy randomly) Ignition, or power steering

*sigh* was hoping to fix this in the drive way instead of taking this to a mechanic and getting hosed on price.

How's the brakes and hubs?

Also, did you check to see if there's any extremely close metal contact on the front abs pickups?

I had a hub go bad on my first Explorer, caused the ABS light to come on. It wasn't bad enough to touch, but it was close enough to trigger a fault code/light. New hub and cleaned stuff off, went away. Just a thought..

That is a good point.
I could use a brake change, I'll definitely look into that while changing the pads.

And it reminds me that I need to check the battery voltage, since my vehicle randomly shut off after making a turn.
The positive battery lead is fairly corroded, or my alternator might be going.
