I haven't been able to reproduce this error yet, however, my wife called me while it was happening and I thought it odd.

The problem:

The air conditioning / climate controls will rapidly change modes on her. While it is happening the "tone" that the controls make when you touch them will continuously beep about once per second. Trying to turn off the system with the power switch doesn't work. And pressing other buttons doesn't work.

That's about all the information I have for right now. This is frustrating because I'm scheduled to take clients on a 5 hour trip this coming Friday. I don't need to have a vehicle that is going to embarrass me.

Is anyone else having or heard of this issue?

Rebecca,

I haven't been able to reproduce it yet. There's a possibility that it will happen again in the future, and I've asked her to record the event should it reoccur.

Hi, TxRanger351w!

I haven't heard of this happening. Have you been able to reproduce it yet, or take it in to your dealer for their input? Let me know when you get chance.

Rebecca

Hello,
I 've the same problem with my 2013 Explorer.Temperature goes to low and continuosly beep without pressing any buttons. Few days ago the APIM was changed but the problem is not resolved. I think that the problem is in the Climate Control because during the time I used the vehicle without the APIM Climate Control did the same.

Was it a "beep" about once per second if not faster? She said that hers went o low, the blower motor went to full, and then the beeping. She wasn't able to do anything to stop it, so she just drove down the road.

I've still not been able to reproduce it. Drove to Austin (4 hours) for a weekend, came back, drove it for a couple days to have some work done on the windshield...still never could reproduce it.

I was starting to think she was crazy until your post.
